The Effect of Language Aptitude on Recast-Driven L2 Morphosyntax Acquisition: An Overview

چکیده

The purpose of this paper is to review several studies on the effects language aptitude recast-driven acquisition L2 morphosyntax. Recasts are one most commonly used forms corrective feedback in second (L2) classrooms. It clear from research that there a variety internal and external factors affect ability learners benefit recasting. Among those factors, working memory analytic ability, as two critical components aptitude, have gained increasing attention recast studies. Given learners’ variability their notice gap extrapolate grammatical rules, may be responsible for attend recasts provided. By reviewing synthesizing relevant research, current literature demonstrates despite inconsistent results need further verification, general, tend mediate recasts-driven morphosyntax acquisition. Also, demonstrated disposition draw upon different at developmental stages response types feedback.
